Founder & Managing Partner

Rob has 15+ years of private equity experience in the middle market. Prior to founding Bear Creek Partners, he was an investor at Genstar Capital in San Francisco, leading new investments and managing an extensive portfolio across business services, software, and industrials. During his tenure at Genstar, he completed 12 platform investments and 100+ add-on acquisitions, representing $10 billion of transaction value and over $3.5 billion of equity invested. He served on the board of directors at Ministry Brands, AMBA, Stack Sports, Tekni-Plex, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, OTC Industrial Technologies, MASA Global, Daxko, Inside Real Estate, JSSI and Likewize. He began his career at Kelso & Co. in New York where he focused on business services and consumer, and before that covered sponsor clients while at Citigroup.

Rob received his undergraduate degree in finance from Wake Forest University, and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

He is a founding member and continued supporter of Harlem Lacrosse, a school-based non-profit organization that changes the life trajectories of youth through daily wrap-around academic support, mentoring, leadership training, college readiness, career exploration, admissions counseling and lacrosse instruction.

Rob currently lives in Mill Valley, California with his wife (Margaret) and dog (Revelstoke). He is a lifelong supporter of Boston sports, and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and other outdoor pursuits in his free time.

Miles has spent over 15 years investing in and supporting middle-market companies across the U.S. Prior to joining Bear Creek Partners, he was a founding member of the private credit business at Carlyle, where he worked with business owners and management teams to provide financing solutions across a range of industries including business services, financial services, industrials, consumer services, and technology. During his tenure at Carlyle, Miles invested over $10 billion in 100+ companies and served on an investment committee as well as other leadership committees.

He began his career in investment banking at Citigroup (with Rob) where he advised financial sponsors and their portfolio companies.

Miles received his B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

He lives in New York City with his wife (Rachael) and their son (Sasha). He is a devoted (and long-suffering) fan of the NY Jets and NY Knicks, loves to play golf, and seeks outdoor adventure beyond the Hudson whenever possible.
